Exposure to ionizing radiation is not entirely without risk. It is, therefore, one of the most important goals of our department to protect people and the environment against the harmful effects of ionizing radiation, now and in the future. We make our expertise and knowledge based on years of experience available to governments, the medical world, and industry.
Our department helps in two ways:
- Consultancy in optimizing processes to minimize radiation exposure of patients, workers and public
- Shielding calculation
- Safety assessment
- Development of Radiation Protection Programmes
The expertise service is provided upon request; the procedure includes the following steps:
- Communication (via phone, e-mail or fax) to set the arrangement and type of service;
- Once the input information form the client is received, the laboratory staff prepares the reports and other relevant documents;
- The report is sent to the client;
- Invoice is sent with a test report, and the payment of a debit amount is made to the Vinca Institute bank account.
